1. Who we are

This policy explains how UNREAL CREATIVE GROUP PTY LTD (ABN 31 681 977 088), trading as UNREAL Creative ("we" or "us"), handles personal information collected through www.unrealcreative.com.au and when you contact us.

We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. Questions or requests can be sent to info@unreal-creative.com.au.

2. What we collect

When you send an enquiry through the online form, by email or by phone, we collect the details you choose to give us: usually your name, email address, phone number, company, project location, dates and the brief itself.

When you browse the website, our own analytics records:

  • the pages you view, how long you stay, how far you scroll and which videos you play;
  • your device type, screen size and browser language;
  • an approximate location (city, region and country) worked out by our hosting provider from your connection;
  • the website that referred you (the domain only, never the full address), the first page you landed on, campaign tags in the link (UTM tags) and whether you arrived from an ad;
  • taps on our phone number or email address, and whether an online enquiry was sent.

We do not store your IP address. We keep a one-way code made from it that changes every day, used only to limit abuse and count visits.

3. Cookies and browser storage

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics. A visit ID and the referral details above are kept in your browser's session storage and are cleared when you close the tab.

The embedded video player (Cloudflare Stream) and the spam check on our enquiry form (Cloudflare Turnstile) may use storage that is technically necessary for them to work.

4. How we use it

  • to reply to your enquiry, prepare quotes, schedule productions and deliver your project;
  • to keep business, accounting and tax records;
  • to understand which pages and campaigns help people find us, and to improve the website;
  • to let our team see, while you browse, that someone is on the website and which page and part of it they are viewing, so we can respond to enquiries quickly. Our team gets an alert on their own phones; it shows the approximate location, device type and referring website, never your name or IP address;
  • to protect the website and our forms from spam and abuse.

We do not sell personal information. If we send you marketing emails, you can unsubscribe at any time.

5. Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run our business:

  • HubSpot (customer relationship management), where online enquiries and client records are kept;
  • Cloudflare (website hosting, security, the enquiry spam check, video delivery and our analytics storage);
  • Microsoft 365 (email).

These providers may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We only share what they need to provide their service. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

6. How long we keep it

Website analytics records are deleted automatically after 90 days.

Enquiry and client records are kept for as long as we reasonably need them to work with you and to meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations. You can ask us to delete information we no longer need.

7. Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing info@unreal-creative.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

8. Security and changes

The website is served over HTTPS, and access to our business systems is limited to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version.
